We have been a few times to Confessore Pasta Cucina and will be returning many more times. This is simply the best Italian/Pasta place in or near The Villages or I would expect within a 50 mile radius. Now, if you enjoy the Italian Chain type of places, this is probably not the place for you. This is real Italian, not some American made up kind of Italian. The food is fantastic, with many different sauces from Joyce's (the owner) family experiences pared with 4 different pastas. The sauces, for the most part, are not laden with meat (although you can get spaghetti and meatballs (which are delicious and just like my Italian wife's meatballs). The pasta is served very hot, as it should be. The desserts are to die for, especially the ricotta cheesecake. You will not get out quickly as everything is made to order. So, just relax and enjoy an experience seldom seen in these rural environs.

So we stopped in on a rainy night, hearing that this was a place to get fresh pasta dishes cooked to order. While we just looking for a nice dinner I think we found one of the best places for pasta in the area! When we walked in we were warmly greeted by both the staff and the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen. After being seated our server, Cathy explained about the dining process here. This isn't your quick dine and dash type of place, rather as in the European tradition mealtime is one to savor and enjoy with family/friends. they offer numerous types of sauces that you choose and pair with one of four types of pastas I decided on the puttenesca and my partner had the Bolognese both with the linguine. My dining partner(dp) also had a meatball. We were started with a house salad and garlic bread. (the salad had romaine, shaved parm cheese and anchovies with a light dressing) Remember it was a rainy night? Well the rain turned into a downpour with a massive lightning display. During the salad portion of dinner the power went out suddenly (lightning strike perhaps?) The staff and fellow diners handled it with aplomb and humor. So then our server, comes out with a little bit of sorbet, to refresh the palate - yummy The pastas came out about five minutes or so later (about 15-20 minutes after ordering) oh my god! The puttenesca sauce was great - a bit salty, a bit tart, a bit of umami, slightly sweet from tomatoes and a splash of wine. I could eat this just smeared on bread, but combined with perfectly cooked pasta? oy so good. The dp's Bolognese was as good as mom's (sorry mom but you have met your match) if not even better a slight sweet creaminess coming through in this traditional meat sauce. His meatball was tender and packed with flavor. Pair the above with a very nice glass of wine and you will have a wonderful dinner. Sure, we could have stopped, but no, we decided to continue with an after dinner cappuccino and some of the lightest, most delicate pizzelles. Oh yes, I definitely like this place and I think this is one of the best Italian pasta places that I have found in the area. We will DEFINATELY be back.

This place just opened. It is in fruitland park on 441, just north of the boot barn. They serve 4 or 5 different types of pasta with a lot of different sauce combinations. Everything is made by hand and is delicious. I had "Mama's Marinara" on angel hair pasta, and it was perfect. Dinners come with a large salad and garlic bread. With two well filled glasses of a very nice burgundy my bill with tax came to just $20. I really can't was to go back. This place is going to be a big hit.

Howard F...wtf are you talking about??? All those restaurants you name PALE in comparison to Confessore. This is the only true 4 star dining experience in terms of food in the entire Villages area. Period. No discussion. With a menu similar to the amazing East Village restaurant, Supper, this place is incredible. I tried to take a pic of the menu but it was too blurry. Two of us could barely decide on which pastas to get as they were all so freakin' amazing. Each and every other Italian restaurant in the area has the same old same old boring crap you find everywhere else. This place rocks...period. We enjoyed walnut pasta and Sunday night pasta, a melange of eggplant, ricotta and basil. We also ordered two items not on the menu: garlic broccoli and peas with olive oil, garlic and red onion. Desserts are two homemade options: a chocolate salami and ricotta cheesecake. Just like we get up North. Halle - freaking - lulajah! Delicious. Beyond delicious. The cheesecake is the perfect level of sweetness. My only minor recommendation is to upgrade silverware if you have a chance. But truly who cares when you are having awesome food. Thank you!

Brava Joyce Confessore! The owner and operator of Confessore Pasta Cucina. Located on 27/441, this little establishment known for its pasta, is the best in The Villages! A pleasant atmosphere, we started our dinner with a glass of wine. Included with dinner is homemade garlic bread and a perfectly sized green salad with Italian lemon dressing. I had Papa's Bolognese, and my partner had Ana's Linguine alla Vongole, delish! We skipped dessert, due to my craving for another glass of wine! Moderately priced, I highly recommend this family owned establishment as we will be returning in the near future! Bravissimo!

This is by far the best REAL Italian food around! The open kitchen gives view to the fact that there is no microwave in the kitchen. They really are cooking to order. The Chef invites you to peek into the kitchen. The smell of fresh cooking and garlic hit you in the face as soon as you walk in the door! Our mouths were watering. We were immediately greeted by one of the owners who sat us with a smile and friendly chatter. The server took the time to explain the menu to us, as well as the heritage of the restaurant and the daily featured dish. We read the story of the Confessore family on the front cover of the menu, which was quite interesting. Then came the food. Superb!!! I had the puttanesca , which had so many wonderful favors! My husband had the basil pesto. He licked the bowl! If you know food, you can tell that everything is homemade and fresh. The story on the cover clearly explains to the customer that they cook Confessore style so do not compare to other restaurants you've visited. This is the real deal! If your a fan of chain restaurants or like canned food then don't eat here! We will return often!!

After reading all of the positive reviews, my wife and I decided to try it. We were quite disappointed. First, the bruschetta was under-toasted, resulting in a soggy, unappetizing experience. Further, there was no discernable garlic present. In fact, this restaurant appears to be part of the anti-garlic school of Italian cuisine. The garlic bread and the pesto sauce also lacked sufficient garlic, to the extent of being almost undetectable. The pesto sauce did not taste homemade, in fact I believe it was formerly in a jar from Sam's Club. My wife's putenesca sauce had an odd flavor, unlike any putenesca we have add in any fine Italian restaurant. Finally, the Italian ricotta cheese cake, while homemade, lacked sufficient sugar, and the small sliver was no where near enough to justify the $6.00 price. There are so many superior Italian restaurants in the area, including Chefs of Napoli, Red Sauce, Ricciardi's, and Giovanni's, that I wonder if Confessiori's can make it

Authentic Italian pasta. By far the best Italian in the leesburg ocala area. Homemade sauces and killer cheesecake.

Just had dinner there. Food was very good. Service was very slow, not the waiter but the kitchen. Very small pour on the wine, I mean very small. I judge restaurants on a good price value, especially on the wine.

We heard a lot about this restaurant since it opened and all we heard was good. We finally made it for a late lunch/early dinner tonight. Everything was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back. One recommendation...it is a small restaurant and everything is made to order, so if you are going with a crowd, call and warn them.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
